A San Diego wedding harpist and soprano, trained at Juilliard.
Marsha Long has spent her life in rooms built for sound — cathedrals with ninety-foot ceilings, mission chapels with two hundred years of plaster in the walls, concert halls where one held note can stop a room. She holds two Master's degrees and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the Juilliard School, and a Diplôme de Concertiste from France's Conservatoire National de St. Maur, earned with highest honors.
The credentials matter less than what they let her do. She sings in fourteen languages and plays sixteen instruments — concert and Celtic harp, the great pipe organs of St. John the Divine, the Hungarian cimbalom, the Egyptian kanoon — and she can sing while she plays, which almost no harpist can.
